10 Tips to Save Smartphones Battery life
Personally i feel BETRAYED by Smartphones companies whenever they provide anything less than 4000 mAh battery. One plus 5 is launched globally recently and they are offering just 3300 mAh battery , i mean how rude is that? If i was allowed to invent a phone my first choice would have been Infinite battery, but sadly i am not neither we are gonna get endless battery soon. so I will explain 10 tips to save Smartphones battery.
So what are the options then, how can we improve our battery life? For now There are 2 options to improve battery life. First option is Quick charge and second by saving our battery uses. Quick charge is not in our control because that’s a hardware based technology but definitely we can reduce our battery uses to make our battery long-lasting and below is how..
Do not use Auto brightness
Using auto brightness helps us in adjusting brightness automatically according to situations but this is power consuming process. In order to work properly sensor always run and consumes battery, of course.
Use a Black Wallpaper
Using a black wallpaper will help you in improving battery life specially if you have a Amoled display. However, you should never ever use a live wallpaper if you are trying to save battery.
Turn off Ok Google or Hey Siri
It may be fun to say Ok google or Hey Siri depending on which virtual assistant you are using but do you know how it works? It always keeps your mic on to hear what you say so can reply whenever you send a command. So it’s advised to turn it off.
Keep your Software & Apps up to date
I will suggest you to check for new software update every month and update if available. You can check by going Settings> About Phone> Software updates.
Same applies to apps as well, Keep all of your apps updated in Play store. developers often release new versions so app consume less battery and memory.
Do not use battery Saver or Anti-Virus apps
There are many apps on play store who promises to save battery or kill virus but reality is totally different. Even though they are very high rated apps they just make your Smartphone junk. They keep closing every app and whenever you open the app again, starts from zero which affects battery life as well as Smartphone life.
Keep Vibrations off
Use a ringtone instead of keeping your Smartphone in Vibrate Mode. Also remove the haptic vibration ( Vibration when you type). Some Samsung phones also vibrate when you unlock your phone, This is default and can be changed in settings.
Do not be connected all the time
Using WiFi, Hotspot, Bluetooth and Mobile data are fun ways to connect to the world but on which cost? 🙂 It consumes very much battery. As far as Mobile Data is concerned, leave the world even i am helpless that i can’t turn it off but yes we can turn Bluetooth, Hotspot and WiFi off when not needed.
Even keep Auto sync and GPS off.
Use battery saver options
Modern Smartphones are providing the option of battery saver. Look for that in “Settings” if found enable that. It automatically reduces your brightness, close unnecessary apps, shortens the screen time out. Perfect for battery saving.
Screen time out
As mentioned above set Screen Time out as short as possible. So whenever you are done with your phone it automatically gets locked. Sometimes you unlock your phone just to check a message and forget to lock it then shortened screen time out will come in operation and locks your phone.
Disable all unwanted notifications with this you will save your battery and Data both. When a notification comes just long click on that it will redirect you to settings. There in settings disable notifications for specific app.
I have personally blocked all notifications from YouTube, Facebook and Whatsapp group messages.
I am using all of these 10 points mentioned above because am always worried for my battery. Hope these tips work for you and have a good battery life of your Smartphone. You can check out 14 shortcuts of VLC Media player. Stay Tuned!
